Araucaria s activities combine two specialist professions that are normally quite separate: granite worker and resin specialist. The combination of these techniques allows products to be created that are unique. Using only petrified wood from the Arizona Desert, the workshop has achieved a reputation in Europe for the quality of its cutting and polishing. The work has been expanded to include all difficult stones, including those that are almost impossible to work on. Petrified trees, naturally transformed into quartz, which is harder than granite, can only be worked using a group of techniques that have been patiently developed. With our specialist experience in resins, we have been able to develop techniques enabling us to produce stained glass (using 100% organic glass) and mural decorations from photos for individuals, industry and museums. Using an original technique, we are able to produce cloisonné enamels with different textures, translucent matter and organic glass. By using the two areas of activity (granite and resin) in parallel, from your photos, drawings or descriptions, we can create mosaics of different textures, with the possibility of transparency in selected areas. The combination of different materials, such as glass, metal and clay, allows an infinite number of possible creations. We offer companies an unusual way of introducing their products, such as a sea world created from syringes and catheters, stained glass made from flasks, a mosaic in the style of Klimt using electric boxes, etc. Finally, we can create from large volumes of matter, cut using techniques only used by granite workers. We can incorporate objects, machines, glass, metals, rocks, ceramics, etc. or represent textures or movement such as strata, undulations, and hatching. We are therefore able to create whatever you may require. |
